We offer comfortable and clean budget accommodation in traditional Japanese style house build in 1934 that is located in the heart of Kannawa hot springs area just a few minutes walk from main Beppus attractions and many onsens.

We would like to offer you various interesting tours to taste japanese culture and nature around Beppu city. Tours are held weather-permitting in small groups (2 to 4 persons).
Join us for a morning trip to mountains above the city to experience having a bath in wild nature. The wild hot spring we go to is rich in sulfur so bathing there is exellent especially as skin treatment. On our way back to the city we visit Myoban hot spring area where you can see traditional way of collecting sulfuric powder from hot spring water to be used in various cosmetic products.
Duration: The tour takes aprox. 2 hours

Note: Sulfur is called nature's beauty mineral because it keeps the hair glossy and smooth, and also keeps the complexion clear and youthful. Sulfur is necessary for production of collagen and keratin protein, substances necessary for health and maintenance of the skin, nails, and hair.
Join us for an evening walk to a castle - the best spot for a beautiful night view of Beppu city. We walk through mysterious narrow streets of Kannawa district and then up the hill to the castle. On our way back we can optionaly visit an onsen.

1. Outside the international airport terminal catch the "Toyonokuni Liner" nonstop bus to Beppu.
2. Get off the bus at Kannawa-guchi bus stop (The ride takes approximately 2 hours).
3. Follow this map to get from Kannawa-guchi bus stop to our backpackers. The backpackers is about 250m from the bus stop.

2. Get off at Beppu Kitahama Bus Stop (The ride takes approximately 35 minutes). If you are not sure, ask the bus driver he will tell you when to get off.
3. Follow this map to get to a city bus stop and catch there a bus number 10, 20, 24 or 25 (Use an underpass to cross the road to get to the bus stop).

4. Get off the bus at Kita-jyuu bus stop (The ride takes 21 - 28 minutes).
5. Follow this map to get from Kita-jyuu bus stop to our backpackers. The backpackers is just about 100m from the bus stop.

4. Get off the bus at Kannawa bus stop (The ride takes 25 - 28 minutes).

1. Outside the station catch a bus number 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, 20, 24 or 25. If you can't find the bus stop ask for help at the tourist information desk which is located inside the railway station. They do speak English.

The city of Beppu is situated on the Kyushu island and is included in the prefecture of Oita.
Beppu was established in the year 1924 on 1 st April and it is Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, producing more hot spring water than any other resort in the country. Beppu offers an unmatched range of baths to be enjoyed, including ordinary hot water baths, mud baths, sand baths and steam baths. More than 10 million visitors come to stay every year.
